CANCELLATION, PAYMENT & FORCE MAJEURE POLICY

Castello Mandrea – Private Villa Rental

1. Payment Terms

1. A non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the total rental amount is required at the time of booking to confirm the reservation.
2. The remaining 50% balance (also non-refundable) must be paid no later than forty-five (45) days prior to the scheduled arrival date.
3. Failure to receive full payment by the due date may result in cancellation of the reservation without refund.

2. Cancellation Policy

1. Cancellations made more than 45 days prior to arrival:
   Any amounts paid beyond the non-refundable deposit will be refunded.
2. Cancellations made 45 days or less before arrival, including no-shows, will result in forfeiture of 100% of the total booking amount.
3. In the event of early departure, no refund will be issued for unused nights.
4. All cancellations must be submitted in writing (email or official booking platform message) and are effective on the date received.

3. Force Majeure

The Owner shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• natural disasters (fire, flood, earthquake, storm),
• war, terrorism, civil unrest,
• government actions or travel restrictions,
• pandemics or public health emergencies,
• interruption of utilities or transportation systems.

In such cases, no refunds are guaranteed, and the Owner shall not be liable for any consequential losses. At the Owner’s discretion, a change of dates or credit for a future stay may be offered, subject to availability.

4. Travel Insurance Recommendation

Guests are strongly advised to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers:

• trip cancellation or interruption,
• medical emergencies,
• travel restrictions,
• flight disruptions,
• force majeure events.

Failure to obtain travel insurance shall not constitute grounds for a refund.

5. General Provisions

• All refunds, when applicable, will be processed using the original method of payment.
• Any transaction or bank fees are non-refundable.
• This policy forms an integral part of the rental agreement and acceptance of the booking constitutes full acceptance of these terms.
